Pulsating Electromagnetic Therapy for Horses

Tango gets good vibrations from the Medicine Hat Animal Chiropractic, Dr. Dawn Fletcher of Professional Horse Services of Southern California.

Last week, during a chiropractic adjustment with Dr. Fletcher, it was discovered he had developed bone spurs along his lumbar region of the spine - certainly this could explain his often cranky moods under saddle! Bone spurs are symptoms of old injuries, and this one on his spine was probably initiated 3 years ago. So when the good doctor arrived today to adjust Jack, she treated Tango to a pulsating electromagnetic therapy. From the looks of it, he really enjoyed his day at the spa!!!

The therapy blanket and neck wrap are from Respond Systems, Inc.

In addition to pressure point therapy we give him after each ride, Tango will be wearing a new saddle pad from CSI

  1. This was originally published (with much better quality) on Youtube. However, as Youtube often does, they removed the audio for copyright reasons. Now, I ask you, would this video be the same without "Good Vibrations" from the Beach Boys?!?! NO!!

  2. I'm not familiar with this technique, but I am going to look into it. My dog has bone spurs in his back (and so do I) and it sounds awesome! Thanks for posting and for joining the Carnival. =)
